Juan Manuel Fangio took a dominant victory in the 1957 Monaco Grand Prix, but he was challenged early on by Stirling Moss and Peter Collins. At the first corner, Moss took the lead from pole-man Fangio. Just a lap later, Collins snatched second from the Argentinian. The key moment came on lap four, when Moss hit the wall at the chicane; Collins also hit the wall trying to avoid the accident. Fangio got through the incident unscathed and went on to win.
